Villarreal CF has made a debut in its long career to talents like Kang-in Lee, Nico Williams or, among others, Ferran Torres. None of them did it with the precocity that Carlos Macià (Elche, 2008). Not even Rodri, who debuted with the Asturian at 19 years old. Macià shares position with the Spanish captain and perhaps also history. Macià, as seen in Vila-real, is called to be the Rodri of the Iñigo era, a footballer who after debuting with Marcelino (and he left the club) became a reference for Villarreal. Carlos Macià, international Sub-19 for Spain, is a name that every scout has in their notebook, although most are already aware that he is out of their reach, because they have him on their agenda the main European clubs. But the only one who really has him is Villarreal, until 2029 exactly, a club whose short and medium-term project passes through talents like Maciá: “The future is the academy, we have a batch of young players with a lot of projection that we have to bet on blindly and trust”. The explosion of Carlos Macià has been from one year to another. From being a substitute in the Spanish Under-16 Championship and playing in the second juvenile of Villarreal, the Roda, to being a fixed player with Spain Under-19 (author of a goal against Bulgaria in the European qualifying), becoming a key player in the feeder team trained by David Albelda and debuting under Marcelino with Villarreal in La Liga and Copa (six games, five of La Liga). Carlos Macià, despite his 190 centimeters, adds to his height a speed and agility that are determinant for the pivot position. His age makes him a sponge in terms of tactical concepts and has a specialist in the matter as a teacher, a David Albelda who has bet without hesitation on the Ilicitano, being a starter in 25 of the 26 games in which he has been available, becoming the Under-18 player with the most minutes in the entire First RFEF. Iñigo, pending Gueye, aspires to give the definitive leap to professional football. First with the Albelda feeder, with which he hopes to achieve promotion, and then under Iñigo Pérez, recently promoted to a Submarino for which he will recruit those young talents from his academy for his project. Among them, surely, Macià.
