Villarreal CF is more than just a football team for Lluís and Pascual. Since the 97/98 season, their grandmother took them to watch the team's games and now Lluís takes his father to the stadium. Their grandmother, the pioneer who took them all, managed to get the whole family a spot in that concrete stand of the old Madrigal. And that common ritual became especially for father and son much more than just a passion. A heritage. Pascual accompanied his son to watch the first team's training sessions; he enrolled him in the lower categories and Lluís was able to enjoy being, in the alevín category, a canterano of the yellow submarine. In the band, near the bench, alongside his idols, he also lived many games as a ball boy. And from all of this, he keeps small relics: stickers, scarves, shirts, autographed photos... Even the gloves signed by Palop, who achieved that mythical promotion against Compostela. "Do you remember how we made Riquelme smile when you took the photo with him, son?", his father recalls with him. Pascual has had a slight mobility problem since he was small. After the pandemic, a fall caused by that limp caused a fracture in his hip that left him in a wheelchair during the recovery. But Pascual didn't want to miss one of the most historic days of his team's soul. So Lluís, who works and has lived away from him for a decade in Mallorca, did the only thing he could do: he took his father to Poland, to Gdansk, and they enjoyed the Villarreal CF victory together.
