Villarreal CF has announced the launch of new football camps in Azerbaijan and Turkey as part of its international expansion project. These camps will take place in Baku, Istanbul, and Izmir during the summer, from August 7 to 9 in Azerbaijan and from August 11 to 16 in Turkey. Coaches from Villarreal CF will lead these activities, working alongside local technicians to select young talents who will participate in an official tournament of the club in Spain during the 2026/27 season. The collaboration with By Demir Sports and Jordi Gratacos Football Formation is key to the success of these camps. By Demir Sports, a company dedicated to organizing sports events in Turkey, aims to promote the development of young footballers. Its CEO, Mehmet Turu, highlighted the importance of providing young people in Turkey and Azerbaijan the opportunity to learn from professional coaches at Villarreal CF. Jordi Gratacos, leader of Jordi Gratacos Football Formation, also expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, emphasizing the desire to convey Villarreal CF's methodology to the participants. Mar Llaneza, head of International Business Development at the club, stressed the mission of bringing Villarreal CF's methodology closer to all players and providing them with unique opportunities for their development. This project aims not only to train footballers but also to instill human values through sport. The camps are aimed at boys and girls aged 8 to 18, and they are expected to be an enriching experience for all participants, marking the beginning of a lasting collaboration between Villarreal CF and the communities of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
